Alright, so let’s take a break from political news for once and talk about some other current events.

With the lift of the ban on gay marriage in CA, Ellen DeGeneres has officially announced that she and Portia de Rossi are going to get married! Awesome! Congrats to them!

In South Carolina EIGHT middle schoolers were expelled for having sex on a school trip. Crazy. If kids want to have sex at that age then that is their decision…but to do it on a school trip…hello?? Not a wise decision at all. But expulsion? That seems a bit harsh.

In NYC a 5-year old decides to take his grandmother’s truck for a little ride. First of all, who let the keys in a 5-year old’s reach?! Second, where was the grandmother? Who was watching this kid? Hello?? Responsibility, people, responsibility.

Apparently there is a new study that says Vitamin D can help with the chances of surviving breast cancer. Women with higher levels of Vitamin D are more likely to survive breast cancer according to the study. Awesome! One step closer to finding a cure.
